So we are now staying with the bishops daughter, Alene, her husband, Gabriel, and their dog Thor! Gabriel offered to pick us up from the terminal and took us out to lunch, it was good like always. The juice Dayne ordered was amazing! Their juice here is different, it's so fresh. They literally cut or peel open the fruit, put it in a blender, strain it into the pitcher and WA-lah! It took me a little bit to warm up to it, mainly because the fruit they use isn't typical in the U.S. such as passion fruit, guava, graviola, etc.
After lunch Gabriel kind of became our chauffeur and drove us around town. First we went to the mission office where Dayne had served for the last 6 months of his mission.
We then went out to dinner with Alene and Gabriel. Besides the juice being awesome, I loved the coxhina I had. It's basically a roll in the shape of a tear drop that was filled with ham and cheese.
After dinner we went to visit ______. The family were members in the ward Dayne served in and then the dad eventually got baptized. They are such a cute family! They have 3 kids, the 2 older ones don't care much for sports, but the youngest is 4 years old and LOVES soccer. We sat there and tossed the ball around and passed back and forth. He was adorable and was loving all of the attention. Before we left they offered us hot dogs with all of the toppings. I found it pretty typical to have each house we visited to offer us food and drinks. At first I was a little concerned about the drinks because I didn't know if it was made with filtered water or what, but it got to the point (about our 2nd day in Brazil) that I would be so thirsty that I really didn't care what water it was made with.
My favorite part of the day? Playing ball with the little boy at the last family we visited tonight. He was seriously so cute and just happy! He even showed us his own little soccer outfit, he was so proud of himself.
