Foz Do Iguacu Day #1

Oh my crap that bus ride was TERRIBLE! We got on the bus around 6pm. Dayne slept for a few hours while I just looked out the window. I think I fell asleep around 9 and at 10pm the bus pulled off at a diner/gas station. We weren't sure where we were but almost everyone was getting off and going inside so we followed. We ended up getting a coxinha to split. When we went back outside the bus wasn't there! After a slight panic, we found out there was something wrong with one of the tires so it was getting fixed. We ended up sitting on the curb for 30 minutes while it was getting fixed. When we were back on the bus we were both anxious to get some sleep! Hoever, right as the bus was pulling onto the road the baby in the seat directly behind us started crying. It would calm down long enough for me to shut my eyes and consider the possibility of falling asleep and then it would begin crying again. This went on until 6:22am when we pulled over at another stop for 30 minutes. This time we decided to stay on the bus and sleep while everyone was inside. When everyone got back on the bus, the baby must have finally fallen asleep because from 6:30-8:00 it was silent and everyone was able to get some shut eye. At 8:00am the bus pulled over at a bus station and there were a lot of people getting off so we thought this was our stop! Dayne went and checked and apparently we had another 2 hours! So we slept some more.
When we finally got into town and to our hostel, we found out we weren't able to check in for another couple of hours. So they referred us to a churrascaria down the road for some lunch. It was soo good! I was excited for the buffet- mainly the rice and beans- but the meat they brought around was my favorite part! It was seriously so tastey. It had so much flavor it was unbelievable!

By the time we checked in and got settled, it was too late to go do something. So we were able to catch up on some more sleep and woke up for dinner. We walked around the streets in front of our hostel and found this awesome pasteleria! They had this Choconana that was my favorite part! Chocolate+banana+pastel= DELICIOUS! We are definitely going back there again.
My favorite part of the day? The CHOCONANA. Yum.
