Family visiting, Mason's blessing, and a trip to Washington

Like I mentioned in my last post, a few weeks after my parents left, my sister came for a long weekend. And again I was SPOILED.  When she was planning the trip she counted it out that Mason would be 6 weeks old, she knew that by then the adrenaline would wear off and I'd be in the thick of it with little sleep. Having 6 kiddos herself, she knew what I would need. She came at the perfect time. From the minute we picked her up I felt an instant relief and comfort. Even if she hadn't lifted a finger in cleaning or child care (which she did non-stop), just her presence was calming.
That weekend was exactly what I needed. We didn't do anything big or exciting, just hung out together and played with the boys. My parents had been visiting my other sister in St. George and on their way home they had a layover in Salt Lake for a few hours so we were going to meet up with them and go to dinner. Unfortunately/Fortunately their flight got cancelled. Washington got hit with a huge snowstorm so the Pasco airport was closed! So they came to our place and crashed for a few nights until they could get a flight back to Washington. So we had a full house, a little chaotic and crowded, but so much fun!
I just want to say THANK YOU Jana for being willing to leave your kids so you could help me with mine. And Thank you to Troy for being so supportive and willing to stay home with the kids so that she could come.

Mr Mason was blessed on March 3rd and it gave us another opportunity to have family over! Mason was surrounded by strong men that love him and would protect him as their own. He truly has such incredible examples of good righteous men to look up to.

So Mason was blessed on a Sunday and Monday morning I made the spontaneous decision to pack up a bag for me and the boys and hop in the car with my mom and dad for a mini vacation. Dayne was kind enough to encourage us to take the trip and leave him for the week to continue on with work and school. Since my siblings didn't know we were coming it was fun to show up on their door step. Noah had a ton of fun running around with his cousins! I'm pretty sure he took 3 hour naps every day we were there. The cousins did a good job at wearing him out! And Mason enjoyed being loved on and held constantly.

It's finally spring in Utah and we are loving the warmer weather! I'm just excited to be able to get out of the house and go on lots of walks or play at the park.
