Another week gone :/
Things are going GREAT! We've had some stumbling blocks and things were a little slow... but oh boy are things picking up AND I LOVE IT!
First off, Deirdre's and Kevin's baptism went great! I loved it, those two are just so amazing. Their testimony is strong and they just have such a great love and desire to follow Jesus Christ and won't let anyone or anything get in their way. At the baptism, the spirit was there and they were so excited and ready, which made me even more happy of course! Her parents were able to be there, they are such great people too. Oh I just love them so much! We've been able to eat dinner at their house a few times and they won't let us leave without taking something home (or having Deirdre bring it with her to church to give to us!) They are just such a sweet family with good intentions and a love for everyone. I just hope they will look to their daughter as an example and follow her lead, they've have raised a smart daughter! I just love them ALL, dang how many different ways can I state that, haha.
We didn't get as many visits with less-actives in, but we have some new investigators and potentials that we are working with and we are excited for those! Things are beginning to catch fire and I feel so lucky to be able to witness the miracles and blessings the God has in store for the area. People are being prepared and we're just trying to find them!
I LOVE THIS WORK! This are going great, I cannot complain :) I loooove missionary work, it's the best! Here's one of the things that I love about it... I can look back in my life and see the ups and downs and what pulled me out of those downs was the gospel. We are constantly surrounded with people, on the streets, at grocery stores, at the gas station, who go through the same challenges and struggles that we do. The only difference is, we know who and what to turn to during those "down times"- our Savior Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon. In them, we can find strength, courage, and comfort... but only if we want to. If we are passively reading it, passively praying.... nothing will happen. But it's when we are on our knees, begging for help, pleading for His guidence and asking for answers to our deepest questions and concerns- it's in those moments that we can experience a change. And this change can be a life long change if you constantly remember those times... we are told so many times in the scriptures "Oh rememeber, remember..." It's important to remember that God is literally our Father. Jesus Christ is our literal brother. They love us and want us home. So anyways, back to what I was saying... I'm able to look back, and remember how I was helped up from those hard times... and I can then go and help others back up as well, teaching them where they can turn to for comfort and answers, and then they can experience that change.
Man, life is great :)
Well, I'm afraid that's all for now, I hope you have a great week! I love you all so so much.. you are all so amazing. Thank you for your letters and emails :) they always just make me smile and feel loved, so thank you :) I hope my letters and emails do the same for you!
With all my Love,
Sister Kimaree Miller
