Ok so I know last weekend entry was somewhat of a novel... but this last weekend was just as fun! But don't worry, I'll try and shorten it for you.
First off... I just want to say that I was able to be reminded what it feels like to be a 6 yr. old on Christmas morning, or an avid shopaholic on Black Friday! I walked into the local grocery store, Tamura's... don't let the name throw you off, its a handy little store. It's in Hau'ula and not to be confused with the "Hygenic Store" where you can get your liquor as well as your tools... or so their advertisement on their sign reads! Weird right? Anyways, back to Tamura's. This store is amazng... it was like a heaven on Earth! The jelly was on sale for $1.69 Yeah I know, pretty outlandish right!? Compared to the $5 that it costs at Foodland, this was GREAT! I thought for sure it had to be the pin in a hay stack and that everything else would be the same overly-priced items found at Foodland. To my astonishment IT
WASN'T! Not only was the jelly cheap, but so were the carrots, the cereal (SCORE!), BBQ sauce, and everything else the normal college student dreams of! Minus the milk, I noticed that was the same. But whatever... that's probably a good thing. That will keep me from buying it, and my roommates and friends will appreciate that! From now on, I'm a loyal customer of Tamura's. Of course I think I'm set for groceries for a while... or at least a few days!Blessings go to Jana Bell.

Robin's Mum, Jana Lynn (which is my sisters name! This world gets smaller and smaller.) and sister Amanda came into town this last week. They are so so GREAT! Gosh, I mean you try to prepare yourself to "meet the parents", but nothing is ever enough! Robin's family was hands down the easiest people to get comfortable with... why you might ask? Because within 5 minutes of being with them, I realized they are exactly like Robin! In more than one way they proved to be triplets. They laughed the same, they did the same rockin interpretations, same facial expressions; it was great! I got so comfortable with them that I stayed the night there my first night... not sure they appreciated that (Robin and I turned into little school girls and giggled into the wee hours of the morning talking on the phone to a boooy. Which I make it sound a lot more interesting than it actually is. I feel like I need to explain myself now, he's just her guy friend that she knew in Idaho.) It was a fun weekend with them!
We went to the "seussical" musical. I went with my expectations low and it turned out to be the best play that I've seen in a long time! The people they got to play the characters were perfect! It was overall, really well put togehter.
We also went into Koneohe
where we did some shopping. It was fun! We spent way too many hours at Ross (time flies when your rummaging through bargain tags). But I got 3 really cute dresses...but then I got home and tried them on with heels and decided it would be inappropriate to go to church lookin that sassy. Sooo I'm taking them back, besides them being a littl
e too short, I'll be happy to get the $40 back in my account! But it was fun while it lasted! We headed back to their condo and put on My Girl, determined we would stay awake so I can finally see the end, didn't work. We were sound asleep half way through. Hey, shopping can really take the energy right out of you!
Next adventure we went to Hanauma Bay, on our way
we got a tad lost. Some how we ended
up in down town Honolulu, which was perfect because we ended up at the Aloha Tower! W
e took another quick trip up that and saw the beautiful view... again. I decided you can never get enough of that here! We had our first COMPLETE day without any clouds and rain, it was fantastic! We saw lots of fish and even took some pictures underwater.

We then went back to our place where we cleaned up and got all fancy-like to go out to dinner. We arrived at HardRock Cafe to a JAM-PACKED-SLAMMED dining room. Ha do you believe me? You shouldn't. The place was completely EMPTY! Well ok, not completely, there was one or two tables filled other than ours. The food was good and we had a fun time! For dessert we went to the Cheesecake Factory (my first time) it was absolutely-steele my breath away- GOOD. I got the Adam's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake and boy was it the best thing my little tastebuds have ever endulged in. After whitnessing a dine-n-ditc
h by the table next to us, we paid (well J
ana paid.. bless her heart) and headed home.
Just this last Monday we went up to the Valley of the Temples in Koneohe. It's a buddist temple and it kind of resembled Omi Gardens. It was so peaceful! There was a stream of huge vibrant orange fish, some the size of my leg and the width of my thigh (enormous right? Jk.) but they really were big! And there were birds that you could get to eat right out of your palm, unless your named Jana and wearing yellow... for some reason they didn't care to eat out
of her hand much. There was even a giant bell that you could ring, supposably cleaning your aura... or something like that. I really don't have a clue what any of it meant, so for those who talk about my blog to your friends... I know I'm popular with them, please hold off and don't quote me ;) After we walked around there we went for dinner at Ruby Tuesday where I had a delicious plate of Turkey Burgers and fries with a side salad. Aww my mouth is salivating just thinking about it! There were some milita
ry guys at the bar next to us who by the end of their drinks found the courage to come ask me for my name and number and subtly mentioning he was going to a movie after drinks. I gave him my name and glanced desperately at the girls, Jana jumped at my rescue and said I was in no way available. He apologized and walked sheepishly away. Poor guy got shot down cold! I mean he had GREAT muscles... but well thats all folks. Nooo I'm just kidding, he was very gentleman like and very polite. Just not my cup o' tea please.
They left Tuesday and although they aren't MY family I miss them! I was with them so much this last week that it seemed like a minivacation- it was nice! Now I'm thrown back into doing school work and taking tests. It's mid-terms this week, my second favorite week in a semester besides finals :)
