So... It rained two nights. And when I say rain- that's an understatement- because it seriously poured! We were up at the temples doing a little mini temple visitor presentation to the nonmembers. My companion and I were in the back of the temple looking for people to talk to when we noticed there is NO ONE around. What the heck? Where is everyone? Right then it started pouring! We are trapped under a tree in the back of the temple (which faces the highway. We might as well been on a stage with a spot light on us for everyone on the freeway to see. That's literally how it was!) So it's freezing and pouring. We are huddled together to keep warm under this tree. We met only the day before. We look at each other and I suggest the most ridiculous idea, but the only idea; we make a run for the front of the temple where there is shelter. We run for it. We run for what felt like half a mile! Finally we get to the front entrance to the temple. We enter through the automatic doors into the House of the Lord. Everyone looked toasty and warm, dressed in white, and clean dry church clothes. Here we were soaking, hair messed, make up everywhere, wet cat. We looked AWFUL. Luckily our shift at the temple was over and someone let us borrow an umbrella to walk back to the car. Thank goodness. Where is my raincoat when I need it?
