This year we spent Christmas with Grandma and Papa Shaw at their cabin, and it was as magical as it looks. There's nothing better than getting cozy in PJ's, drinking hot cocoa and playing board games with the family all while it's snowing outside. Kai learned how to play Sorry this year so we played more games of that than anything else. Even after Kai went to bed, you would think we would have played something else, oh no we kept playing. We had some pretty intense games going!
Noah has come up with a new way of finding out what's inside the wrapped gift, instead of the typical lifting and shaking, he licks it! Yummy. Although he did have FOUR teeth come in while at the cabin, maybe licking the presents helped with that too...
Noah has a cousin that is 8 months older than him (by looking at them you would never know there's an age difference) and he did his best at keeping up with him! It was pretty cute. Liam is much faster at crawling so he would be at the oven and by the time Noah got over there Liam would already be back at the toys. They went back and forth like this for awhile, it was adorable!
It was so fun having Noah around his cousins, they absolutely loved each other. Kai was such a good helper and played peek-a-boo with him, Noah loved every minute.
The highlight of the trip for Dayne was going snowmobiling with the boys and just being able to play in the snow.
Christmas morning Noah was able to open presents with some assistance. He didn't really know what was going on, but he liked being able to rip the paper and have so much attention. Christmas is definitely better with a kiddo!
While we were in Utah we had the chance to stop by the Spencer's home. Brother Spencer was Dayne's Home Teaching companion when he was 16. Dayne has always looked up to him and loves him like a Grandpa.
I was getting ready to change Noah's bum when he grabbed his book and began "reading" it. I think this is the first stage to having magazines near the toilet.
Now that we are back home we are trying to get back into a schedule. For the last week he has been sleeping through most of the night. He wakes up and fusses for a minute or two until he finds his binky. Today he pulled himself up on the laundry basket. He has learned how to follow me from room to room, which I don't mind a bit, unless its accompanied with crying. He loves when Daddy tosses him in the air. He has FOUR teeth. He still has the biggest grin around.
All in all, December was pretty great and we had a very merry Christmas.
